Holler From The Hill
Looking back on where I came from and the small home I grew up in I find myself saying; What wonderful memories I have of our home at 203 South High Street in Austin Indiana ,and what a wonderful home Richard and I have now, it is Heaven Hill to me.
We watch our grandchildren run and play, from sliding down the front hill when it snows ,to running through the couple acres to find Easter eggs. Holidays are always special here on the hill.Praising God for all we have...... especially our family and home.
Come see us anytime, we will kick off our shoes and find us something good to eat. We promise you that you will want to come back and see us often.
Love to you all.

A Holler From the Heart
Dealing with the silence once your adult children have paid you a visit with your precious grandchildren then head home is not easy. I do not like the sound in my house when my children leave. Once they are gone I always ramble around the empty rooms and notice little things they may have left out or scattered while they played or a spot they settled in for a nap. It helps to do a new scrapbook page or blog like I am doing now or play a game of checkers with grandpa when he wakes up from the nap he always takes when they leave.Funny!
No matter how you look at it this is LONELY!!!

January Memories
January has flow by with very little snow and ice but enough to have 2 snow days from school. As I grow older I am learning more and more to slow down and enjoy the moment I am in, sort of soaking it all up, enjoying every minute. So I have come to really appreciate the beauty of each season along with the activities that come with each. Winter fun has been slowed by the lack of snow,so no sliding pictures of the family going down the hill in front of the house but alot of sitting by the fireplace with my little pal,"Roamer" with hot cocoa or tea enjoying the warmth of my home.
My hopes are for each of you is to experience this slow down, taking time to enjoy each moment, each activity, each worship service, and all the other many things that can encompass your precious lives, always having family located at the top of your list. Be determined to focus and fill your life each day with the simple things that matter most. That is exactly how I plan to finish out the winter season.
Praying God's tender love ,mercy and peace fills each of your homes and remember time moves quickly and once a moment is gone you cannot get it back so fill each moment with a memory that will last a liftime.
Warm love to you.
